1. What WandaWest is

WandaWest is a listings website for events taking place in the Bathurst, Lithgow, Blayney, Oberon and Orange council areas. Events shown on this site are submitted by members of the public, event organisers, or drawn from publicly available regional event feeds. WandaWest does not organise, run, host, sponsor, or endorse any event listed here, unless explicitly stated otherwise on that listing.

Event listings are provided for general information only. WandaWest does not verify or warrant the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of information supplied by organisers or obtained from third-party sources.

Publication of an event on WandaWest does not constitute approval, recommendation, endorsement, verification, or accreditation of the event, its organiser, or its venue.

2. Event listings — no responsibility for what happens at an event

Every event listed on WandaWest is organised entirely independently by the person, business, or organisation named on that listing ("the organiser"). By using this site, you acknowledge and agree that:

• WandaWest is not the organiser of any listed event, and has no control over how any event is run, staffed, insured, or supervised.
• Attending, participating in, or relying on any event listed on this site is entirely at your own risk. You acknowledge that you rely on event information at your own risk.
• WandaWest does not guarantee that any listing is accurate, current, or that the event will take place as described, or at all. Dates, times, prices, and details can change without notice, and it is the attendee's responsibility to confirm details directly with the organiser before attending.
• Any dispute, injury, loss, cancellation, refund request, or other issue arising from an event is a matter between the attendee and the event's organiser, not WandaWest.
• Where a listing includes a booking or payment link, that transaction takes place entirely with the third-party organiser or ticketing platform — WandaWest does not process, hold, or have any involvement in payments made through those links.

3. Third-party websites and links

WandaWest may contain links to third-party websites, ticketing platforms, or social media pages, submitted by organisers or included as part of an event listing. We are not responsible for the content, security, availability, or privacy practices of those websites, and linking to them does not imply our endorsement.

4. Moderation of submitted listings

We may use automated systems, including AI-based moderation tools, to assist in reviewing event submissions. Final publication decisions may also involve human review. This process reduces the likelihood of harmful listings appearing on the site, but it does not guarantee that every listing is accurate, safe, lawful, or legitimate. If you see a listing that concerns you, please use the "Report" option on that listing so it can be reviewed.

Submission of an event does not guarantee that it will be published. WandaWest may edit, refuse, suspend, or remove any event listing at its sole discretion and without notice.

5. Submitting an event

If you submit an event listing, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you have the right to advertise the event, and that you are responsible for keeping your listing up to date if event details change.

You must not submit events that:

• are unlawful;
• infringe another person's intellectual property;
• are fraudulent or misleading;
• promote violence, discrimination, or hate; or
• contain malicious software or spam.

Licence to use your submission

By submitting an event, you grant WandaWest a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, resize, and promote the submitted text, photographs, and other content for the purpose of advertising the event on WandaWest and associated social media channels.

Indemnity

If you submit an event, you agree to indemnify WandaWest against any claim, loss, or expense arising from the content you submit or the event you organise, including claims that the information was inaccurate, misleading, or infringed another person's rights.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WandaWest, its owner, and operators are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense arising from your use of this site or your attendance at any listed event, including (without limitation) personal injury, property damage, financial loss, or loss arising from a cancelled, changed, or misdescribed event.

Nothing in this section is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, including guarantees relating to services provided with due care and skill. Where a liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.

7. Copyright

Unless otherwise stated, the WandaWest website and its content are owned by WandaWest. Event information remains the property of the submitting organiser or relevant copyright owner.

8. Availability of the site

WandaWest is not responsible for interruptions to the website caused by maintenance, technical failures, internet outages, or events beyond our reasonable control.

9. Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you submit an event, we collect the details you provide: event information, organiser name, and contact email. If you contact us directly, we collect whatever information you choose to share.

We may also automatically collect technical information such as IP addresses and server logs as part of ordinary website operation, and — if and when we use tools such as analytics (e.g. Google Analytics), security/performance services (e.g. Cloudflare), spam-prevention tools (e.g. reCAPTCHA), or cookies — the information those tools typically collect (such as device, browser, and usage information). This policy will be updated if and when such tools are added.

How we use it

• To display your event listing publicly on WandaWest.
• To contact you if a moderator has questions about your submission, or if your listing is reported.
• Organiser contact emails are not displayed publicly unless you choose to include them in your listing description.

What we don't do

We don't sell your information to third parties, and we don't use it for advertising or marketing purposes beyond WandaWest itself.

Where it's stored

Event and submission data is stored with our database provider (Supabase) and may be processed by automated moderation tools, including AI-based systems, solely to assist in assessing whether a submission meets our community guidelines.

Your rights

You can ask us to correct or delete information you've submitted at any time by contacting us using the details below.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of WandaWest after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
